Oliver's grandma is going to be in Florida and I am going to be in Oregon on his birthday, so we celebrated his birthday just a little bit (10 days) early.

Tim asked, "How do you think Oliver is going to distinguish the difference between a birthday party for him and every other family gathering where he's the center of attention?" Silly question. Most family gatherings don't include balloons. Also, people are not usually wearing pointy hats that say 'Happy Birthday' all over them. I will concede that Oliver may be too young to make these distinctions.

In any case, Oliver got a few new toys and some clothes, he got to hang out with his cousin Kira, who he's crazy about, he made a few funny faces, ate some pasta with red sauce (he loves that) and some cake, and a good time was had by all.
