Oliver in the great outdoors

Oliver went on a great adventure for his very first 4th of July -- hiking in the woods along the Licking River in Kentucky. He's not really in a position to appreciate the concept of Independence Day -- his life is pretty much a celebration of Dependence -- nor does he have much of a taste for fireworks, since they're past his bedtime; he does seem to like walking (well, being held while someone else does the walking) outside quite a lot, though.

To protect his little feetballs, he wore a pair of utterly fascinating shoes.

Oliver had never worn shoes before and he seemed a little nonplussed by the experience. His Mommy removed his shoes and let him sit on her lap, which made him happy. See him looking approvingly at his little naked toes?
